Summer Reading 2025

Level Up This Summer at GPL!
Summer Reading 2025 will run from Monday, June 2nd through Thursday, July 31st.
Join us for fun programs over the summer designed to engage all age groups in exploring new ideas, books, and activities. The program is free, open to all, and does not require a library card.
Beginning Monday, June 2nd, you'll be able to register and START READING. That's right - no more waiting! Summer Reading registration will be done in-person at the library and you can register yourself and/or your whole family.
We are still tracking the same four age groups: babies & toddlers, kids, teens, and adults, but everyone will be given the same log book. For every day that you read, color/initial in a square. How much you read or for how long is determined by the participant and/or their library grown-up. We are no longer requiring a specific amount of time to complete a log book.
Once you’ve reached Day 30 and completed your log book, turn it into the library for a prize. You can grab an Expansion Pack bookmark to complete another 10 days of reading for more raffle tickets.
Check out our calendar of events and remember to register for events that require registration! Have questions? Call Pattie at (815) 784-2627 or email her at pklassen@genoalibrary.org.
