Summer Reading 2022

May contain: label and text

Are you ready to Read S'MORE ?!

Grab your tent, flashlight, and a good book because we’re going CAMPING!  This summer reading is all about the great outdoors.  Or a view of the great outdoors through a cozy cabin window :)

If you register early, from Monday, May 23rd to Tuesday, June 7th you will be entered in to win a FREE individual season pool pass to theGenoa Park District Pool!

Join us for a fun program designed to engage all age groups in exploring new ideas, books, and activities.  The program is free, open to all, and does not require a library card.

Beginning Monday, May 23rd 2022 you can begin registering for Summer Reading which will officially kick-off on Monday, June 13th 2022.  We’re switching things up and will no longer be using Beanstack for logging and registration.  Summer Reading registration will be done online through a Google Form or you can come into the library for staff to assist you.  You can access the Google Form here or through the form below.  You can register yourself and/or your whole family.

We are still tracking the same four age groups:  babies & toddlers, kids, teens, and adults, but everyone will be given the same log book.  For every day that you read, color/initial in a book.  How much you read or for how long is determined by the participant and/or their parent/guardian.  We are no longer requiring a specific amount of time to complete a log book.

When you get to day 10 and day 20, bring your log book into the Library for a raffle ticket and a prize.  Once you’ve completed your log book, turn it into the Library for an additional raffle ticket and prize.  You can grab another log book and start again.  It is possible to complete 40 days of reading!

We ask that you do not start recording in the log book until we kick off Summer Reading on June 13th.  Instead we will also have a BINGO card activity that can be started the day you register and turned in for a prize to help you wait the couple of weeks for summer reading to kick-off!
